Leading Points Details Military Appreciation Program
Wahiawa, HI – October 15, 2007 ‐ Leading Points Consulting, the leader in securing distribution through the military’s worldwide retail store system, announced the basic points of its new Military Appreciation Program that will allow its client companies to heighten brand awareness and loyalty while boosting product sales to military personnel, their families, and veterans.
“Word of mouth is extremely powerful within the military,” says Leading Points founder Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Sullivan. “I think it stems from the training that emphasizes absolute trust in, and support of, your colleagues.
“First, lets understand that we have a unique situation here at Leading Points,” said Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Sullivan. “Doing the job we do requires extensive experience in the ‘military way of doing things.’ Unless you’ve lived the experience, the learning curve will be steep and maybe too much for some. For that reason, I’ve made the decision that every job opening Leading Points will be filled by an ex‐service member. Going further, we will give every future job to a disabled veteran if it’s at all possible. These dedicated individuals who have given so much in service to their country deserve every break that we can afford them.”
“This isn’t charity, this isn’t a handout” continued Sullivan. “We want only the brightest, most motivated people to join our staff. But with increasing numbers of service personnel returning from Afghanistan and the Middle East with injuries of all kinds, we want to present them with the opportunity for a new and productive career. The military takes care of its own. It’s an honor to give every kind of assistance.”
“With Leading Points in a growth mode, I see lots of job opportunities opening up,” said Sullivan. “Building relationships with the military exchange system’s buyers and management as well as interfacing with its vendors are the primary tasks. This isn’t manual labor. It’s well suited for someone with physical limitations stemming from military duty.”
Leading Points was established in 2004 to act as agents and sales representatives for companies desiring to sell to the powerful military market whose market reach exceeds 30 million persons. The company is located in Wahiawa on the island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii adjacent to Schofield Barracks Army base.
